Welcome to My Page
Welcome to 7th Grade!
Welcome! My name is Hailey Nussbaumer, and I am excited to be your child’s 7th-grade teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. This year, I will be teaching English Language Arts, Social Studies, and an Introduction to Anatomy elective.
I am currently working toward my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential through the Teachers College of San Joaquin. I hold an Associate’s Degree in Natural Sciences from Modesto Junior College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from California State University, Stanislaus. I am passionate about education and committed to helping students grow both academically and personally.
English Language Arts (ELA)
Throughout the school year, students will strengthen their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills through vocabulary development, close reading, and in-depth literary analysis. We will use the StudySync curriculum alongside multiple novel studies. As a class, students will read The Giver, The Hunger Games, and The Outsiders.
Social Studies
In Social Studies, students will explore Medieval and Early Modern Times, gaining an understanding of historical events, cultures, and their lasting impact on the world. To enrich student learning, we plan to attend the Celtic and Renaissance History Day Field Trip on March 6, 2026, in Angels Camp.
I believe my role as a teacher is to guide learning while allowing students to explore their individual interests and strengths. It is important to me that every student reaches their full potential and develops an understanding of the learning strategies that work best for them. I strive to foster a love of learning while encouraging students to become critical thinkers and problem solvers.
Parent and guardian involvement is essential to student success. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns throughout the school year. I look forward to partnering with you and working together to support your child’s growth and success.
